• Help me id this guitar

I'm looking at buying this guitar. It's a custom shop bolt on from what I gather, # 1614
See pic. There'a debate on the year here. I think it'a a 89, but the store feels it a 90's. The neck profile is slim and more not as wide as the soloist neck. It's cool to me. Any ideas of year? Tie dye Jackson

Sounds like the neck on my 91' Fusion I just sold.

I am not as hip to the bolt on's. I did have a bolt on '89 that had the same physical features as this guitar (the contoured lower cutaway, controls, etc), but I believe those were used in the 90's as well. Does it have the 'work order' stamp in the tremolo cavity? I think that ended around 1990-1991.

My feelings are that the serial number is actually 001614. If so, it's a 1992 Fusion, as pointed out above. At $1275 that is about what the new Dinky's are selling for, so it's a steep price. (I'm selling a pair of USA Fusions for considerably less by the way!) If indeed the serial number is 1614 then the guitar could be from 1987, 88, or 89. But I doubt that's what it is. Cool guitar, maybe worth a tad under a G.

Thanks guys. The store had it at the San Francisco Guitar Show and I almost traded him for it. As always, they didn't want to do a fair trade and I walked around the show and decided not to do it. Thanks to all here. GAS gets the best of us all, but walking away helps.
