  • Trans Blue Vs Cabo

Is there much difference between the Trans Blue and Cabo finishes. I noticed that Cabo is no longer available but it sure looked nice..

I had a trans cobalt blue dk1 and it was beautiful. Sorry I git rid of it. It had a almost black border and then got bluer as you get closer to the center. Really nice finish.

Cabo looks a little bit lighter and personally prefer it than the Trans Blue. Just my opinion though.

Cabo does really look like a beautiful color. I'd love to see it up close!

OK thanks guys. From the looks of it the trans blue is just slightly darker and denser. I definitely prefer the Cabo though, it looks like it lets a bit more of the woods natural beauty to show through..

I like the Cabo blue...it looks (hard to tell on a web page, though) to be almost the same shade/trans as the 'rhythm blue' on my tele-clone. I like the Cabo, the blue metallic and the natural over flame maple. Shweet stuff.

What kind of finishes does Jackson use, anyway?
