I found a Jackson 22 fret rosewood neck with the "Made in USA" under the Jackson logo instead of after it like I see on everything else USA made. Is this date related or a fake?
83-86 would have that... generally considered one of the ways to spot a San Dimas Jackson, which is a good indicator, but more likely when they ran out of that logo decal.
The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.
FYI, I have an '86 with the exact same decal, so no worries! I'll once again drop the hint to Jackson to make it easier for us to look our serial #'s up for issues like that.
I have a Jackson bolt on neck from july 86 made in USA under the N, my soloist made in Aug 86 has it after. ive looked into this before, early SD's have the "made in USA" under the N. around late 84 till 86 you do see both logos but more "made in usa" after as time goes on. then with ontario jacksons NO more made in USA under the N.
also some of the early logos the O&N touch, like with the pic Jim posted. i think its the jacksonmuseum web site that goes thru the logo progressions.
Then there are the '85 with NO Made in USA on the decal. The Made in USA after the N appears in early '86 and you see both styles used through much of the year.
This is the first forum I've seen where the author cannot delete hhis own post. Anyway anybody have a clue about this stamp? Is it a left over San Dimas Charvel neck? But they didn't stamp them on the fret board, right?
Is it a pointy head what? The only stamped-fretboards I know of were on the Jackson JJP (Les Paul Special copy) and JJ (Scott Ian) but both of those had Surfcaster-style heads.

Jackson made 2 3/16" heels. How do you know it's a fake?
As for not being able to delete a post (and the time-limit on editing); that was put in effect due to childish morons who liked to post personal attacks and get everyone roasty and then delete their messages so it looked like they were being victimized and assaulted for no reason.
They have, of course, since been banned

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">They made 2 3/16" heal pointy heads? I'll go take some pics. The heal shape is different, shorter than any of my other Charvel's or Jackson's. And according to Jackson's site the serial number did not exist. There is a plastic nut, and a Kahler type, but no top center hole for a truss rod cover.
