• looking for a "lightning ball" Rhoads....

Back in '98/'99 Drum City Guitarland had a CS Rhoads, with a one hum, rear control cavity and a "lightning ball" graphic.

    Anyone know where/who has it?

Roodyrocker has it or at least one like and it kicks major ass! I'll have him post a few shots when he gets a chance!

Hi DrunkenMonkey, I bought a Lightning Ball Rhoads about 3 years ago. It came to me in mint shape with hang tag. The tag is dated Nov. 98 I believe. It has one hum (EMG), string thru, and 1 volume/1 tone control knob layout, black pickguard. I'll get some pics of it up over the weekend. Great axe to say the least! Do you know the previous/original owner?

Yes, the guy had it up on E-Bay but I do not remember his name nor his E-Bay user name. I will post pictures of the actual guitar this weekend. I think its the coolest of the Lightning graphics.

Yeah, I wish I had bought it from DrumCity back in '98/'99. I regret not getting it. Oh well. Maybe our paths will cross again.

Thats awesome except the center of the electric ball is freakin covered up by the pickup and it would look so much cooler without the cavity plate.!BOOOOOOOOOOO

Dude, that's sweet! Is the center always covered by the p/u, though?

That's the point. It looks like the pickup is electrifying the body and originates from the pickup. Much like the Zakk bullseye radiates outward from the bridge pickup.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree. The bolts are suppose to be flowing from the pickup OUT, not a ball.
