    J3865 arrived today...

    White Platinum Pearl 1987 King V Custom bought from German Ebay. Below two pics. I need to change the bridge later to JT6. The guitar has a "twangy" sound - almost like a Strat. Totally different from my other KVs. Neck is a little thinner than on my 85 KV but still what most would call a fat neck. Very lightweight woods. This fits right in with my 1985 and 1989 Custom KVs.           Nice guitar - I'd leave putting a JT6 in it though (i hate those things!)

              Yea, that trem bridge looks like a non Jackson lic. trem that needs to be replaced.

              Can't wait for some group shot!

                      Very cool! I am confused. Why o you wnat to change the bridge to a JT6. I dumped the JT6 on mine 2 weeks after buying it in '89!

                      What gives?

                          I want to make it original so that's why I will put a JT-6 on it. It has the JT-6 locking nut (not in the pics), but the current bridge is a TRS101 that I've only seen on crappy Ibanez gtrs. If I don't like the JT6 then I will go for a OFR.
                          The guitar is far from mint but the neck is in great shape.
                          If anyone has ever seen this guitar before please let me know.
