  • Custom shop fact I never knew.........

.....I just asked Lloyd to quote me on a Ninja Turtles dinky Rhoads like Danny Spitz's and apparently Jackson will not do graphics that include copyrighted images - now I don't know how long this has been the case for (and we can all name loads of 'name' graphics - Cptn America and Hellraiser to name two!), but it's thrown me a bit! Guess I'll have to go for the maple top XTRR instead!

You can buy a Rhoads and have GMW to refinish it.

GMW will probaly do anything you want, to a point (red, white, black and yellow in any combination of stripes, for example). I know Jackson was b!tched at by Warner Bros for the Roadrunner stuff.

Re: Custom shop fact I never knew.........

I was planning on a RR-1 with a custom finish, but I too was told that I'd need permission from the copyright holder (Square-Enix, for a Final Fantasy image), which Square-Enix didn't give me. I called a customer rep, and they sid that wasn't their department and didn't transfer me to someone who I could be talking to. I e-mailed and wrote them, and never got a response. That was last year, so I gave up trying to get it.

It was to have this image over-laying Eerie Dess:

This one was to be on back:

Getting permision to use an image isnt that hard if your not goin to be reselling, using it as an advertisement, or reproducing it. most companys would probably let u use it free. just dont make them regret it like make the ninja turtles holding bongs & funnels.

I did try to get permission. They wouldn't give it.

Here's what I wanted on front:
