I don't know, something about a Kelly with no bevels is just strange. Doesn't it feel weird to have the binding digging into your forearm? Though, it does look cool with the white binding.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">no weirder than a les paul. i personally find the bevels cheesy. I traded my trans black ke-2 for it. I miss the neck pup but not the floyd or the bevels the bound kellys and the roswells are the only jackson designs that I still really like.

and then good luck getting 1/3rd of that from a local buyer.

Songbird in Toronto have some brand new USA selects in stock at stupid high prices that have been collecting dust for over a year. I mean if you 're web savvy enough to find songbirdmusic.com, you must also be savvy enough to find a used USA guitar for sale on here or on ebay for one third of their price or less.

                  Re: Hardtail Kelly?

RacerX - Seriously? I wasn't sure which pickups came stock in certain Jacksons. I'm new to these guitars. I come from the Fender and Gibson families. My bad

toejam - Binding around the edges can dig into your forearm a little bit, but it's no big deal. I've been playing my Paul for years now and you actually get used to it.

                    Re: Hardtail Kelly?

Good point. I haven't really played a Les Paul in a long time, so I've kind of forgotten, but I don't rememeber it being a big deal.

                      Re: Hardtail Kelly?

At the shop last night, I spotted a Kelly with Eerie Dess finish. I'd prefer black, but that's an awesome color.

Incidentally, let me know if any of these are still floating around.

                          Re: Hardtail Kelly?

Jack Frost has(or had) a broken mirror top Kelly with a ToM bridge that is(was) quite godly.

I also prefer hardtail guitars. Jerry From Ghana, that black Kelly is gorgeous ! If it only had a neck pu, it would be perfect!
