after my famous 85 red student rhoads
http://www.jcfonline.com/ubbthreads/...fpart=all&vc=1
i got a 84 Zebra one from John (peedenmark7)
got it from the customs today
it has a lot of battle wear but its great
it has quite a damage under the fretboard and there's lot of cracks
so i first thought i may strip that neck
but now having her seen: NO
i leave her as she is
these cracks match perfect to the aging cracks all over the body and neck
its # RR0810
nothing much original(TRC, strap buttons, electronics) but the layout is correct
John put in as many as possible correct parts:
a PAF Kahler
a J90C (bridge) and a J50BC (neck)
and Rob witte says it matches the books at least with its
zebra
she made it well over the big shore without a case!
:noworthy to Johns packing skills
just ripper her apart and i'm a bit astonished:
there's no WO# ,nowhere !?
but the trem cav showed me its a famous 3 piece neck yeah
and the side and back of the headstock proves this, as you can see the piece-joints under the laquer
now enjoy with the pics in the next post
