      no, dude, they were on a normal passenger jet. but yea i guess they could get special permission.

        I fly every week and every week I see some college kids running around the gates with acoustic guitars in gig bags strung over their shoulder, so I've always assumed its perfectly fine to bring your guitars as carry-ons in soft cases. i think hard cases would be a different matter.
