  • I picked the KV2 (and my KV1) over an SL1 (or anything else) because I really like smaller frets. xtra jumbo is wayyy too big. KV2's have just the perfect fretsize for me, so those are the ones I play

      • I went with a PC-1 mainly for the sustainer. The recessed Floyd, 24 frets, chunky neck and contoured neck/heel joint were also deciding factors.

          I have RR0068 (below)....which is a custom. Haven't seen #66 pop up & I've been collecting since 1984.

          • I always wanted a 'shredder' guitar (I use the term loosely in my case) but was never enthused enough to buy an Ibanez, for example. About a month ago, I played a friend's old 1990's Jackson Pro Series guitar, which is basically a USA made Dinky, and loved it. This inspired me to buy a beautiful, used 2002 DK1. This is such great guitar. The build quality is superb. The playability of the compound radius unfinished neck is awesome. The EMG's sound amazing and it looks cool. Not so in love with the Floyd Rose but I installed a Tremel-No which resolved that. Jackson totally rocks!

              • I actually tried a beat-up RR3 that was missing the bolts on the Floyd-nut.
It played beautifully so I decided to get a new Jackson. I went for a Jackson SL2H-MAH, and since then I've never looked back!!

My first USA Jackson for you:

                    • I picked up my first new one in 2004, after making the trek down to Splawn's. He had a WR-1 and a PC-1. I put both of those sweet guitars through their paces for an hour or two, and was mesmerized by the WR-1. I already had a strat, and the PC-1 was kind of familiar. The WR-1, however, was like an entirely different universe. I just had to have it!

                          • My first usa jackson was a lefty sl-1 transparent green flame maple. My friend saw it on ebay for $800 and said it was in mint condition. He told me, "You need a decent guitar!" So I bought it. It's been an addiction ever since.

                            • My USA was bought as a level up after a gift given to me on my birthday from a bandmate. I dont know what model it is, but it gave me the 80's sound I needed at the time.
