Congrats on a brilliant guitar! I myself have a transparent black KE 2 as well, only mine has factory installed EMG's and a blocked Floyd Rose. Lowest action ever! Used to belong to Jack Frost formerly of Savatage and now of Seven Witches. Brilliant band by the way [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

I am also from the PHILIPPINES but now live and work in Tokyo!
I did not know there were anyone else aside from MegaMel who are from the Pearl of the Orient(Philippines) in this ultra-cool forum!
How are you kababayan(fellowman)?
So I know what you mean about the customs people. I almost wanted to hit one on the head with my Y2KV when one of them was trying to make me pay "taxes" since the guitar looked "too new"!

Anyway, I also have a KE1, and INDEED, it is one of THE BEST guitars I have ever played!

Where in the Philippines are you from?
Maybe we can jam together one time, when I go back for vacation early next year!

i'm from metro manila, specifically muntinlupa in alabang. one trick you can do with the customs peeps is to tell them the guitar is a gift from an uncle and its old. hehe worked for me. hey, whats your email? you got AIM or MSN IM?

this is my old ke-2, which i've traded away. the guy has it up for sale at $1500 canadian if anyone wants it. when i sold it, the frets looked untouched.

Excellent axe, man! Absolutely love the black flame finish. I hear ya on the easier hammer-ons ... the ebony Jackson boards are just so easy to play.

I really dig the Kelly's volume knob location -- right under the bridge 'bucker for perfect volume swell leads! Crank it up!

yes that's a custom based on what i've always wanted and never existed: a neckthru explorer w/ sharks. was originally supposed to be some type of red burst but the wood looked too good to bury the figuring in a color.
