If the guitar plays and sounds good why do anything to it. The pa2 really makes EMG's come alive. Why spend $475 for a refinish job?

If you're gonna have GMW refinish your guitar for you, you might as well try what Jim shine suggested

what a beauty...honestly, i dont see the need to change the paintjob though. but that's my opinion. but the paintjob doesnt change the fact that it's a USA Rhoads. congratulations on the new guitar!! we have a new winner everyday!!

Hey if you don't like it sell it for a profit take that and the $475 and get what you want. That way someone will have a 85 RR for a good price and you'll be able to play your new guitar. Or leave it alone and injoy a great guitar that you only have $300 into.

Your right it'll never be a museum piece but guitars are to be played & chiped ect. What really count is the sound, feel & playablity.

well, that's what really counts to you... i pretty much agree, but i'm a big believer in "it's your guitar, do with it what you want."

Again your right, I'm just trying to give him a realalistic view point. When he sell it will it be worth more with the original paint or refinished? As cool as RR & V's are you get to a point in life when they just don't suit you or the type of music your playing anymore.

yeah, very true, but there's also the sentimental value (i'll never get rid of it) vs the practical...

sounds like he doesn't like the graphic and he wants a different color. I can understand not liking the graphic cause I sure don't either.

I think since the rebel flag was added on top of an original finnish that it could be removed with keeping the original finish intact.
