Yep, that's my old one that Sully found. I had it for all of three days I believe and was going to return it for an issue I wont' get into here, but another JFC member purchased it for my original purchase price and fixed said issue. I thought it was a great guitar otherwise.
The issue you mentioned is a very slight hump in the neck near the 14th fret. I play with high action so it doesn't affect me at all. The neck is a little buzzy in some spots but nothing I can't easily fix. Ray was totally up front about everything and I am totally cool with it. It is a very cool guitar and when I am done working on it it will be perfect. Now... about that Jake...
Funny signature. Aldo Nova, oh yes. Blood On The Bricks and Medicine Man were among my top 5 favourites in like '91. That record got a lot of airplay here in Montreal. I still remember going to bed listening to the top 10 on the local rock station every night. Some of the staples week in and week out were Enter Sandman, Tom Cochrane - Life Is A Highway, Big House - Dollar in My Pocket (anyone remember this one? ahahhaha), Rush - Roll The Bones, GNR - Live and let die
Aldo Nova - Medicine Man.
After that, I remember seeing him in a Celine Dion video, back when she wasn't doing Vegas. I've bumped into him a couple of times at a local music store. I believe he's still a studio cat.

I posted a link to the Tele Porn in a previous post. Check it out!! I like Aldo. I even think he is a good guitar player. His album with Fantasy on it is really pretty good. Aldo Nova, Toto, The Tubes and Saga were always in my 8 track player!!

Manyaxes has the Chandler now. That is how I got the Tele. The Silverburst is the 1st one made by Gibson. So many guitars and amps and so little bands or gigs! I am getting very depressed. I haven't played live in over 2 months. I need a band. BAD!!!!!!!! It sucks being 42 and looking for a heavy band. All the bands seeking musicians around here have an age cut off of around 26 tops. Chops don't matter in this case. I don't want to start a new project. I would rather jump into an existing one.
That's a great looking Tele, and some fine national forestland to boot! Do you guys remember that Alto Nova video (I think for Fantasy) where he gets off the helecopter and shoots a big steel door down with a laser from his Les Paul?? And that spandex leotard?? How rad is that???!?!
That is what I am saying.. Aldo is the man.. Remember the song Jane by Jefferson Starship? I don't care what anybody says, they ripped off Aldo's Fantasy for sure, even though Jane came out first. Chaquico is a Nova wannabee
I thought I was the only person in the world who liked Saga! Me and my buddy that played keys used to jam "on the loose". That song rules! Talk to ya later.....(the Tubes rule also).. Did you like the dude from Pat Benatars band? If I'ts just me, forget what I just posted....Thanx....
