That's a bit of mystery, though I think I have it figured out. It's a Firebrand that I bought new in December, 1982. So I assumed it was an '82. Then I read someplace that they stopped making Firebrands in 1981, so I then assumed it was an '81. However, I recently learned how Gibson does their serial numbers, and mine's 80842524, which implies it's an '82. Any thoughts? Good call on the Firebrand, by the way.

I had a '79. I refin'd mine.

Cool! I still have my original pickups, but installed the EMGs long ago. Also had a Duncan Custom in the bridge for a bit as well. Such a great guitar.
