San Dimas Help

Hey guys, i haven't been here in a while so hows everyone doing? My guitar teacher got this San Dimas Jackson and its pretty sweet and he asked me if i know how much he could get on ebay for it. So i told him i'll ask the experts at the forum because they know best. Heres the specs:
22 fret ebony fretboard
dot inlays
the older jackson USA logo(not ablone, i think they were called toothpaste?)
Scarf joint
no scunk stripe
San Dimas plate, i dont know the number though
3 knobs, i dont know if its VVT of VTT
3 switches under the knobs
SSH jackson pickups
some kind of Floyd Rose bridge, i dont think it was a OFR, the metal had that wavy look some of the cheaper or older FR bridges have
the bridge must have been top mounted, i'm not sure if it had a recess though
Silver sparkly type of finish
locking nut behind the nut

Thats about all i can remember, sorry i dont have the plate number. Do any of you know which model this is and know how much he could get from ebay for it?

Sounds like the Jackson trem? Don't know what condition it's in but they seem to be getting 500.00 to 600.00. Some pics would be great, and serial number of course! [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

actually that sounds like it was made in ontario, they used up the plates with the san dimas addy on them after they moved shops, if it's # is lower than 1505 then it is a san dimas, but the way you described it sounds like an 87 or so
just my .02 and depending on condition it should go for $400-$600 depending on condition

Yeah the trem sounds like the old JT6. If so, it's almost definitely early Ontario. Not San Dimas, despite what the plate says.

just curious but why is an early ontario worth les than a san dimas? the only difference in the first year or so is the the place they were built!i know, i'm *****in' cause my custom shop bass is early ontario. but really,what justifies the difference in value?

Somebody forgot to pack the "mojo" and "vibe" from the SD facility, so when they got to Ontario they had to make all new "mojo" [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

And now that Fender owns Jackson, looks like they'll have to "re-mojo" all the axes again. [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img]

I know for a fact that a AMIC SL1 is worth more then an FMIC one.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">OK....I've been reading a lot of posts and topics and trying to get a handle on C/J history, what with names and difference in guitar types/models etc., since I'm still kinda new to this whole thing, (still a long way to go), but what the heck do THOSE abbreviations mean???!!

I'll never know this stuff....it's too fishy.!!
