  • Poplar

Jackson USA guitars in the late 90s were made of poplar. Only within the last 3-4 years have they been made out of alder. Poplar is great.. Its very light and great for solid color guitars. The BC Rich custom shop uses poplar and the guitars sound amazing. Also, like someone said, it is very similar to alder. There was no misprint.. How could they make the same misprint year after year?

Why don't you post this on the thread, or qoute it...

It was Kevin easton or Tim Wilson that told me about the alder bodies, and the misprint. I'll take thier word and my own experience. KV1 was alder. Always was.

As for the misprint and how it could happen...
I belive it was the 97 or 98 catalog that was misprinted. If I remember correctly it even had the PC1 as poplar.

If I'm not mistaken, Kevin did the catalogs after that one, and they were right on.
