I didn't see any other jackson's in there, i couldn't stop drueling over mine [img]graemlins/drool2.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/drool2.gif[/img] . And yeah the price looked good until the 14.5 had to come in... and yeah i got a case with it. but it was worth every penny.

So how does it compare to 'normal' SL2H's ?
is it heavier? does it sound darker/lighter better/worse ?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well when i played it next to a normal sl2h with alder, the mahogany seemed warmer and the harmonics just jumped out of the fret board, it seemed a little heavier weight wise than the alder, but the sound makes up for it all. Maybe i should get some sound clips up to [img]graemlins/idea2.gif[/img]

I would buy an SL2H Mahogany in a minute if they would offer Solid colors and Graphics, I don`t want it with a Maple Cap, anyone else feel the same and would want the finish choices? Or am I wrong and they already offer these other options on this model? Jack.

no its straight black on the back, I think the clear coat finish on the back only comes on the natural finish
