• Just curious about lightening sky

My Lefty LTG (lightening sky) SL2h will be here monday Nov 2, 2003. AS I'm stairing through my new Jackson catolog I'm about to have a heart attack. The book is showing LTG as this:

    I thought I oreder this:

    Are these the same?

    then I also found these:

    What am I gonna get?

I have Lightning Sky graphics that look like all of those. What will you get? That's just it, it will be a surprise, no two are the same. I can tell you that the last pic was something they only did around 1992. Most of the newer ones look like a cross between the lefty Soloist and the Rhoads.

Since two of those guitars are mine, allow me to add yet a third variation of that graphic:

The new Jackson Soloists will look like the one you posted up above. Greg's right, the blue-ish one is from 1991, and they don't do them like that unless you go custom. The Rhoads is a San Dimas one off. And the red was a late 80's variation. Don't forget too, the pic you show is on a Rhoads, and the image will be different from how your Soloist will appear.

Re: Just curious about lightening sky

The second one looks like a new graphic that has the sort of ghost blue around the lightning . I have an Sl-1 that has the same graphic and it is one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen

The lefty soloist one is the modern style. But, as previously stated, none are identical.

yep Kevin Easton told me that they are all airbrushed a little different and all by hand so no 2 will be alike unless he [Dan Lawarence would be the guy wouldn't he Greg ? ] got lucky on one day the probably would be real similar but not excactly the same . witch is cool that with the Jackson usa select finishs your really getting a prodution custom cause as far as I've seen I have never even seen a EDS that looked the same some are darker some are lighter ect ect ect //Steve
