• Jeff Beck's Soloist

Here's a question for all you Jackson Historian's,What ever happened to Jeff Beck's orange Jackson Soloist??.I believe it has a Fender style P bass pickguard on it and a S/S/S pickup configuration.I've seen it in some books but never have seen or have heard about it since.Does Beck still own it??Now that would be the axe to own .I just hope it isn't sittng in some Hard Rock Dive. I own the pink custom shop 1 of that was made in 98. Its exact to Jeff's pink soloist in every way.I wouldnt rest until I got that guitar once I heard about it. Three singles, phase switch(gives that cool nasal honk),non logo'ed san dimas tuners original nos kahler, binding over frets (ala Les Paul) ebony board with dots and the same pink/with platinum paint. That guitar is awesome. I couldnt imagine having that other one also!!

I've got a scan of the orange one on my hard drive at home. I'll try to remember to post it in the next day or so. Think Charvel Spectrum, as they were styled after it.

Although the pink "Tina" one was very cool, I've always preferred the orange one. A sweet color, unique design, and it's Floyd'd too.

I believe the re-make was "Turner-less".

JohnnyMac - you ordered that in 98? I used to have the same one. I got from Jason in Colo. Sold it last year. Is it just our two or is yours my old one?

Hey Vito
I didnt order this one-I chased it around ebay
as I stated early in the thread. I was going to buy it from Jason in colorado and called back the next day and she was sold. Then she appeared on ebay missed her again, then she reappeared and got her that time. Did you buy this from Jason,or The Guy from Ohio?

Re: Jeff Beck\'s Soloist

I saw the guitar on E-bay.
It was sold pretty cheap.
If I remember correctly, it was around $800.

If you ever decide to sell it, please let me know.
I have a friend who is a HUGE Jeff Beck fan that wanted it so bad.

I called you about it when I was in Ohio and you had changed your mind about selling it.Offered you alot more than I got it for off ebay.
Then a few months later You sold it on ebay.( I was pissed too) Then the Guy who you sold it to relisted her on ebay and I bought her FINALLY!
Told Ya I chased her around ebay!!

Re: Jeff Beck\'s Soloist

I think I remember that guitar, if it's the one I'm thinking of.. It was a kind of Salmon Pink color.. There was alot of discussion here (well, the old board when it was on ezboard..) about whether it was legit or not.. I had a pic in a Guitar World or Guitar Player (can't remember exactely) with C.C. Deville holding the guitar in question with "Jeff Beck's Guitar" written on it in marker and what looked like foil or something on it.. Had to be the same guitar because it had what looked like a Pau Ferro finger board and the grain pattern on it matched perfect to the guitar in the picture with C.C. Deville.. It being neck through, it had to be the one...

Don't know what happened to that mag, I've moved a couple times since then.. but if I could find it.. I'd send it to the owner of this guitar.. I would be a cool thing to have with it I would think.. A little bit of "documentation".

Wow - Yeah, that was a stupid move on my part, but I got a new GMW out of it so I guess we're all happy now.

BTW - I met Jeff on his "Who Else" tour and he said he still has the Pink "Tina" Jackson, but none of the others.
