Wow, there are certainly some strong opinions about this graphic! Noone said much about the burgundy metallic '87 other than a bit about the Ultrasonics but then again, I didn't really ask for opinions about the finish on that one now did I? [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] I used the pop art Soloist for a New Years Eve show and it played great. I changed the strings, set her up and intonated it, and it didn't go out one time even with a ton of trem work. True, it's ugly, as my wife constantly reminds me, but it's a greta playing guitar. I also used my 85 Soloist in magenta sparkle, my Sunset beach Rhoads, and the Charvel, 7-Up pre-serial that night. Twas fun!

OK OK OK OK!!! I am with the "Guitar Graphics Police" and there will be NO more trashing pop art graphics!! [img]images/icons/mad.gif[/img] your hurting my feelings [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] LOL Just kidding. check out my avatar.... its my 1991 Soloist with The "pop art" graphic, although mine is a bit different than the one pictured above. These are a "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" situation. Mine has Reflex active pickups. Very odd tone controls. I will say this..Mine has the most incredible clean sound I have ever heard with those Relfex pickups. I mean its out of this world!!! I like my Neon Pop art graphic. But I know other people think its ugly. But hey, they dont have to play it!!! [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] I do! [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] and I like it!! I think it looks like totally awesome, ya know- bitchin', Rad, too cool, tubular, and any other 80's cool sounding terms and its not bogus, lame or dorky. Ha! Well with all this talk of the popart, I thought I would post a pic of mine. It is NOT my pic, but it is my guitar at this time! I was told it originally was Newc's but it has somehow found its way to my house and I took her in and am caring for her! Just a 'lil eye candy for all you crazy guys and gals!

Well, the popart above is a nicer graphic than mine, IMO. I'd love to buy it someday if you decide to sell her. Newc, that's why I never sell a guitar I truly love. I hate that regret feeling. I sold a Dean about 10 years ago and I'd give up any of my Jacksons to get it back. Now, if I love a guitar (biblically or otherwise), I keep it. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
