Do as I do; get the tracking # from the seller, then obsessively track it at www.ups.com until it's at your local hub.
It'll be noted when it's on the truck out for delivery; that's the day you'll get it.

BTW, congrats on getting the San Dimas!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Sure they do. They save all the guitar deliveries for the 5:00pm - 7:00pm shift.

The first guitar I ever received via mail-order was an alpine white EDS-1275 (Gibson SG doubleneck). I was in Japan on business the day it was going to arrive, so I told my wife not to leave the house that day until UPS delivered my guitar. They didn''t show up until 5:30 pm. She was not amused!

I think it could be, because the big, bulky stuff goes on the back of the truck, where if you order a king v shirt from jackson it might be somewhere near the front or whatever...so they deliver that shit first...man that would suck, I would want to get the heavy stuff out of the way with first.

My UPS people come pretty consistently between 3pm and 4pm regardless of the size of the item.

I get my UPS, USPS and Fedex deliveries between 9:30AM and 12:00 noon very consistently. I believe I'm on the outer fringe of their delivery area, and that they go to the edge first and work their way back towards the distribution center.
Whether my theory's right or wrong, the timing of their delivery to me is perfect

Yeah I thikn they just have a set route they follow, size of the package doesnt really matter much to them I dont think.

If I was a delivery man personally I'd want to get rid of the heavy stuff first that way when I'm all tired only the little things are left. Also I'd try to do it all in a quick convenient route for myself.

Guys...I contacted a friend of mine who works for UPS. He states that he has a route, and based on where a certain address falls in comparison to the rest of the days deliveries, it's pretty much pot luck at times. Businesses typically fare much better, since it's a ritual stop, as opposed to the one-off deliveries you or I get every once in a while. (Does that make sense?)

The important thing is THAT YOU GOT IT MAN! Congrats!

I always get tracking numbers and track my guitars in. I'm the guy sitting there in front of my business waiting for the UPS dork to show up so I can run out to the truck and make sure the dumbass doesn't yank a box out and drop it on end(which has happened breaking the headstock off a USA Jackson). I guarantee you UPS has paid me DOUBLE in damage claims to what I've paid for shipping guitars over the past 3 years.

count your blessings, the last bass i got , i sent the guy a address sheet to put on the box, which he did and they still couldn't find my house! i waited for 2 hours at the local terminal for the driver to return so i could get it, after taking the day off so it wouldn't be left on my porch in the cold (and my neighborhood is not the safest place to leave a guitar laying!)still was worth it! btw mark, the last time someone shipped me a bass fedex it was here in 2 days! though i had it shipped to work instead of home( since we changed parts managers i've had to ship to my house now)
