1986 Soloist found for $500

Hey guys,


Today I stopped in a local music store and they had a 1986 Soloist (serial #j17xx) can't remember the rest. Anyway it's purple 2 hum with kahler trem, Non original pickups, San Dimas small route, and "Made in the USA” under the N. Last year when I saw it they wanted 625.00. Today the owner told me 500.00 plus tax.

The guitar itself is in great shape I would say a solid 8.5 out of 10. What do you guy's think? Should I pick her up? Not really into the color, but she does play nice.

Hey Guys,

Just picked her up. Going to clean her and do a setup. Made a mistake, the serial # is J1459. It would make her a 1985. [img]graemlins/band.gif[/img]

Ahhhh, the ol' Platinum Pink...... very, very common color around that timeframe(Jeff Beck had one the same color). Now just get yourself a couple black Mighty Mite knobs w/ allen screw set-screws and you've got a killer San Dimas Soloist. Congrats!
