Ahhhh, the ol' Platinum Pink...... very, very common color around that timeframe(Jeff Beck had one the same color). Now just get yourself a couple black Mighty Mite knobs w/ allen screw set-screws and you've got a killer San Dimas Soloist. Congrats!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Defiantly going to change out the knobs. Also need to loose those cheesy colored pickups...
Those deals are still out there if you look hard. Although I have paid alot for a few of my Soloists, most were well under a grand, a couple of San Dimas ones were even under $500. All during the course of 2003.
Greg, that looks like Platinum Pink to you? How many shades were there of that color? I have two in that color (1984 and 1986) that are slightly different shades, but neither are as purple as that guitar.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Wow! That just shows how much they vary. The '84 (J0233) was made just a couple of weeks before yours and that one has absolutely no purple or lavender in it (the '86 does have a hint of lavender at some angles that comes through some pics, but still not as dark as his picture). Infact, the '84 has an almost flesh tone hue to it. It is interesting to see how much things varied even in short periods of time.
