• Jackson Custom Shop Soloist Doubleneck.. my entry

    Hi to you all!

I'm new to this forum, but already firmly hooked, so I want to share my latest addition, a Jackson Custom Shop Soloist Doubleneck:

What can I say, ok it's used (read not mint, if I want mint I look at my LTD 92 -thanks Brett-) and a double-6 may be even stupid , but I'm a sucker for these things and even more for neck-through Soloist's!

The story behind it as it was told: it was a one-off custom order placed from a musik shop in Germany, originally in crackle finish black. The owner didn't liked it too much, so the finish was redone in plain black.

I'm eagerly waiting for the original order form, but I was wondering if it's possible to inquire the Custom Shop archives? I was told that from each Custom, besides a registration, a picture was taken by Jackson also. Anyway, it would be great to have some archives made available.

I don´t think you can get any info from the custom shop as of now. Sweet score, though! The mirrored logo on the top neck is a cool touch. Are you gonna set it up in a way that really utilizes the two necks? Like heavy strings for rhythm on the fixed bridge and lighter strings for lead on the Floyd? Or different tunings?

A lot of us were watching that on E-bay, wondering if someone here would wind up with it. In a roundabout way, I guess someone did.

                    Awesome...why someone would order a 6/6 doubleneck is baffling...but I love string-thru.

Sweet Fiddle! I think there are lots of things you could do with 2 6 srings. Lots of tuning options.

                          Welcome!
