Love the guitar !!! I have been holding out for a BGF Shannon but I may need to buy a black one to cure my G.A.S.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Awesome, thanks for the info, bro!! I assume that US Postal Service doesn't charge that brokerage fee, nor taxes, which is why most of the Ebay stuff I bought that was sent to me using USPS was not hit with extra fees (except my Morley Bad Horsie 2 wah pedal which was searched by customs).

I am DEFINITELY going to go with USPS from now on... as I heard on the JCF before, all shipping methods are equal opportunity package smashers.

MOSHWITZ, you can start up one of those free photo-sharing accounts online at places like www.photobucket.com, www.picturetrail.com, www.villagephotos.com, and things like that! They're supposed to be REALLY quick and easy to set up. You'll be sharing pictures within minutes!

Thanks for the comments, guys. It turned out that the Shannon DID come equipped with 10s. I was a little surprised because they honestly felt like 9s. I slapped on my own D'Addario 10s and the trem didn't move and everything played exactly the same... I don't know what it is, but it is soooooo easy to play.

Now I've downtuned the KE3 to D and that absolutely kills too. I've kept the 10s on there and didn't bother upping the gauge to 11s for that lower tuning, although I might do that if I feel that the 10s are too sloppy in D.

Oh yeah, and my comments on the DiMarzio Super 3 in the bridge... it definitely has a lot of bite (despite what I said earlier) but not enough of that low-middle range growl compared to the EMG-85. Still a nice pickup though.

I expected the Hot Rails to be a little more "over-the-top" in terms of output and a little more "rounded" in tone like a humbucker, but I'd have to say that the Hot Rails give a sound that's halfway between a humbucker and a hot single coil.

And the split Super 3 and split Hot Rails in the bridge and neck respectively seem a little noisy... I don't know if splitting humbuckers like this is supposed to sound as noisy as that. Splitting the EMG-89 in the neck of my KE3 into EMG-SA mode is totally quiet.

Remember, I'm just basing these opinions on what my ear picks up, and I tend to compare the Shannon to the Kelly, so I always have certain opinions about the way guitars should sound now.
