• Did Fender change woods on the USA series?

I am sure you all have an answer for this. What kind of wood was Jackson making most of the USA series *production models* with prior to being purchsed by Fender? Were most of the them made of alder as they are now (King V, Soloist, etc.)?

Fender didn't make any changes to Jackson's specs. Jackson decides all of that for themselves.

Jackson has used Alder and Poplar since the 80s for most of their bodies.

Most of the ones I have had have been Poplar.

I have come to like the sound and tonal range of mohagony with a maple top and Jackson has this also.

Probably they use more Alder because they look nicer in trans color while many of Jackson guitars back in 80's were solid color or graphics and didn't see any wood.
And they sound very similar too.

I agree with the mahogany comment, but please make the neck mahogany also. Crushing low mids to go around. Jack.

Aren't all Jackson mahogany bodied guitars matched with a mahogany neck ?
