Gongrats!!! What a cool guitar! I got a black bolt-on star from the 80s and I've been obsessed about getting a neck-thru. No luck yet so I might go for a custom order.

Well, the guitar will settle and any differnece in temperature and humidity from where you live and where the guitar built will have some effect on the neck too.

If the truss is really loose, just let it sit for a week or two where you have it set, then go back and see if it's still loose... if so, then try tightening up 1/8 turn and see if it tightens and still leaves you with something you're comfortable with.

It's nothing to really worry about.

Yeah definitely let the guitar sit for a few days after shipping to let the wood acclimate (sp?) to the temperature in your home. Then once it's all settled you should adjust the truss rod if necessary...and the action.

oh my good god! [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] that is amazing. how long did the custom shop take to make that? what is the official name for that finish? i too have had truss rod problems when taking delivery of nice new guitars. after a few days they do tend to get aclimated to your humidity and temp.

Fucking killer!! There can't be too many neck-thru Star's out there. I usually don't like painted blue finishes but that one kicks ass.
