Re: Score: a very cool Soloist

Killer Soloist! I had been loong for a reverse head and this one was offered up. Alas...I waited an hour or two too long to get back with him.

Ahh, but it went to a decent guy so I'm glad for you. Looks fantastic!

tone knob?...i never tried that knob, not sure if it's hooked up ...it was originally a knob for the preamp that came in them originally...it was removed before i owned it...got it from slo100, he may be able to tell you more...d.m.

        Very Nice!

I fell in love with one almost just like it bakc in 1988 - it had a front slanted single coil a three way, in addition to bigger "cracks" in the stone - but otherwise the same finish and reverse too

It was at Sam Ash in Paramus NJ and I watched the price drop from $1899 down and started to save my money. When I heard that it hit $1300, I went to put 1/2 down and it was marked sold. I have had my eye out for another one for years.

If you decide that you ever want to sell, let me know.

I used to own DM's counterpart to that one - same configuration, but with a normal headstock, volume, tone, and mini-toggle switch. It had an 18 volt system in it. Very nice guitar! Wish I still had her...

Thanks everyone! DM has dibs if it ever leaves.

And tone? Loud is a tone isn't it?

I love reverse headstocks and that finish is killer.....they should bring that back as a standard finish sometime
