• Is the quoted custom shop price final?

If i fill out a Custom Shop Quote Form and get a price of, say $4000 and then order it through an american dealer - will he charge me $4000 or is there typically a discount hidden somewhere?

Actually, in your case they'll charge more.

    Just kidding

Typically, the price you pay from a dealer is about 60%-70% of the list price, so in your case somewhere around $2400-$2800US (plus shipping, tax, etc. etc.) Filling out a form and submitting it to a dealer is really the only way to know for sure.

      Hey Henrik,
The custom Shop form is a list price quote.
One of us dealers will give you a real $ quote based on that form.

Here's the way it GENERALLY works...In my experience.

Take the LIST price and cut it in half then add 10-30% (depending on which dealer you go thru) and you'll be in the ballpark.

Some special/rare/one of a kind/discontinued custom ordered pieces (like GMW's Firebirds) can be the exception. In those cases you'll pay closer to actual list.

Thank you kind Sirs, i had cold sweat running down the back of my neck when i saw that $4000 quote from the Jackson site.

I was surfin' Scott's site and stumbled over this header 'NEW for 2004 SL2HT String thru body soloist!'. Anybody got pics? What's the price gonna be?

Re: Is the quoted custom shop price final?

There were some pics around the forum of some of the SL2T's but i havent seen them in a bit.

Right now, all us dealers are waiting on the New, 04 items to come in.

Hopefully in the next 30-60 days we'll get to see these babies ;-)

Scott, thanks for the plug sir. When I get folks asking me where to go ya just moved to the top of the list. Hey, those sl2t pics, where'd ya find em? I was dummy'n one up but if I don't have to I won't spend the time on it. When I talked to Mike at the show they didn't have any to show yet. No pics just beer which was fine with me of course! Lemme know.
