  • Jackson super V 7 string?

    Hello

I REALLY need a V and I was going through the gallery and came across the "super V"
I'm assuming it is a one off.

I want something similar! 7 strings though and more of a pronouced cut away so there is better access to the upper frets. and even on both sides when it comes to this access.

Something out of korina, with a reverse headstock

Are there bigger and better pictures of this "super V" available?

    Thanks Guys

If you're going Custom Shop, instead of the Ibanez-style extended cutaway, have them set the body wings further back along the neck tenon, moving the bridge and last fret closer to the front end of the wings (like a Carvin Ultra V).

You'll have a bit less room for the neck pickup, but if you think about it, for 7-string it's not really going to negatively affect the tone, as it'll already be darker. Too much warmth/dark (like with a traditional neck pickup spacing) and you'll end up with mud, but move it closer to the bridge and it'll be a bit brighter - should compensate nicely for the natural darkness of the lower tuning.

That's more what I meant, at the time I just couldn't articulate that! HA! thanks.
I would love to go custom, so hopefully after I pay for Herbert I can go through with this.

Does anyone have any more pictures of brad's Super V? Brad maybe?
The gallery doesn't want to work for me!
