I saw the custom shop Korina soloist today

Had the day off (St. Patty hangover recovery day)Ran in to the rep ( a guy I know), and it is damn sure beautiful, but I guess I am not a natural look guy so I am going to pass on it.

He also showed me something cool on the back, the neck is one piece, so there is no (joint?) at the head, and it was hand finished by a guy named Mike Shannon who apparently is the best at this type of stuff. Also he said the logo was 80%?? whatever that meant.

Email me if you want the info on how to get this, I guess you would have to buy it through someone down here, and he would just get it to them.

On another note, I saw this today also(he had it with him, and sent me the pic), and was far more impressed by these in person than I have been by pics on here. This is probably the way I am leaning for this purchase:

I think he means there's no scarf joint near the headstock. i.e., The 3 piece neck extends straight through the headstock.

You'd be a fool NOT to buy that Soloist. Shannon built it? That's a big deal in the Jackson world. All the more reason if I had the money, this would be mine.

Yeah, scarf joint. Thats what he called it (couldnt remember).

Chuck, I would buy it, seeing as everyone loved it, but it just doesnt do it for me, and as my buying tends to be fairly often, I am trying to only buy what I REALLY like.

But If I do like something, I get it. Period.

I have only been at the guitar for a couple of years now, but I play every single nite (except for last nite, as I was seeing double by about 9 o'clock), and along with lessons, am advancing pretty quickly.
I have been a drummer for 30 years (since 5) and have done much noodling with piano, so their is some base there.
