Re: Soloist and articulation - general Soloist Q

It was a joke, Veli. I can tell the difference. Not earth-shatteringly significant to me as a player/listener, but it's there.

I'm referring to Ed and his stupid "node theory". If he had a grasp of basic string physics (taught in high school), he would probably still have a picoounce (mixing metric and imperial measurements together, go me ) of respect from me. He's got an obvious LIE (amongst many others ) right there that sticks out like a sore thumb because it's terribly wrong... something that even an ignorant young kid like myself can pick up on. Way to go Ed, can't even fool the friggin' high school aged aspiring guitarists with your proclamations. As Bill Z Bub would say, "I'm awesome!!!!!!" I would also upgrade to all Floyd Rose original parts if it did not come with them. Just a suggestion because it will sound better.

Ed's node theory aside, I can definately tell a difference when the pickup is placed under the 24th fret harmonic. Not that it necessarily better, but their is a difference.

It is also a difference that can be compensated for with the right pickup, and a little adjustment to the pole piece heights. So, take that, Ed!
