Holy crapp!!!!!!!! I got my 1998 jackson usa rr1 rhoads today its incredible!!!!!! I LOVE THIS SUCKER!!!! i was wondering if anyone knows which duncan pickups came on the 1998 rr1? it has an active circuit in it too, any1 know which it was? this thing kills!!!!!!!!!!! Should be a JB in the bridge and a Jazz / '59 in the neck.

As far as an active circuit I don't know, someone else will fill you in there [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

sorry about not spellin Rhoads right [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] wont happen again lol. well anyway, my 98 rhoads has active electronics, the second knob is the control for it, all the way back its off. but when you turn it full on it makes the guitar seem to sustain forever, is this a gain boost? [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] i dont know anything about active electronics. the guitar also has a battery compartment in the back, so i think it came from the factory like this??? im not sure though? i want to know what it is because i want all my guitars to have these. it rules!! my sl4 had a duncan jb when i got it(changed to emg's) but it didnt sound anywhere near as thick as this rhoads does. maybe the active stuff makes it sound thicker even when its off [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] i'll eventualy take the pickups out to see what they say underneath. What's the serial number? A 1998 Rhoads would be custom with an active circuit unless one was added at a later date. Post a pic...
