I have a black Shannon inbound soon....and I can't wait to play it....I have heard nothing but good things about them (sound, quality, construction, playability) both on the board and from private conversations with some of the other Shannon owners.

I am excited to say the least to own one of the few Black ones made and it will be a great addition to my growning "stable" of USA Jacksons [img]graemlins/toast.gif[/img]

I'll definitely give a review and post pix when it arrives.

Supposedly there was only one, and it was the prototype, in Sherbert Orange.

Oops! One more difference I probably missed before. If I am not mistaken, the Shannon Soloists' wings were made of poplar, while regular Soloists have their wings made of alder.
