FINALLY!! Soloist!!

So I was on my way home today, entertaining some trade offers on some gear when I thought I'd swing through my local Music Go Round, which usually doesn't have much interesting stuff. Today was no exception until... THERE IT IS! A Jackson SL-1!! Damn - I bet it's expensive... OMG!! It's $799!! HOLY CRAP!! So I ask if they'll hold it for me, run home and grab my LP Studio and Ibanez RG-450, and a half hour later, I'm walking out the door with a Soloist SL-1, Eerie Dess finish, in about 8/10 condition w/OHSC, with only $50 out of my pocket!! Tell me I'm not HAPPY! Finally! A Soloist! I haven't had one in 5 years, and that was the "granite finish" that really didn't blow me away when all was said and done... Anyway, this one has a couple SMALL chips, but other than that, no issues. It has a Lawrence XL-500 (I think) humbucker, Jackson trem (Schaller model), and two Jackson singles. Sounds awesome, plays like butter, and I couldn't be happier! I'll post some pics soon.

congrats man, i dont know if you got a smoking deal though...

LP Studio = $700 give or take
Rg 450 = $200-$300

and you had to pay $50? i guess all that matters is your happy. Be sure to post lots of pics.

It's MGR prices - I didn't have the patience to wait for eBay. I would consider a Soloist head and shoulders above a LP Studio, and the RG 450 is NOTHING SPECIAL, believe me. It didn't do much for me - besides take space in my rack, and my Jacksons wer SO MUCH better.

This Soloist should have easily been going for $1000 plus considering graphic & condition. I'll take it. Especially considering I got MGR to give me decent prices for a change. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I would definitely take the soloist over the LP and Ibanez.

awesoem man, i have to say tho, that sound sliek MY old SL-1 I got from Brett...is the EDS dark? If it is the same one, man that thing ripped had sick action! Mine did have a Lawrence in the bridge and the Jackson pups in the middle and front...regardless sounds like it was a good deal, your happy with it so I say good going man!! Enjoy!
