Nice guitar. I was looking at the headstock picture and I've never seen a guitar strung that way. I'm not all that familiar with Floyds, I assume that there's some type of locking mechanism on the trem. Is there a reason why you strung it that way that I should know about? Just curious.

a lot of floyd guys will cut the ball end off befoire they send them into the saddle with the string block. but other guys just string up using the opposite non-ball end into the hole with the block, and leave the ball end to be strung near the tuner. haha, sorry if thats a bit complicated. I'm sure someone else can explain better!

I'm still confused. I'm expecting a guitar with an OFR any day now. Maybe then I'll know what you're talking about.

Re: [Pics Inside] Now it works!

well, since you cut the ends off the string so that you can lock it into the string blocks at the bridge end, most folks will cut off the ball end and feed the other end thru the tuners. Some people though like to string it up as joyfulz has, with the ball end at the tuners and then trim the other end to the required length before locking it into the string blocks.

Nice lookin axe. I have the same finish on a dk1 and it looks great but mine has more black around the edges . Great finish with matching headstock.

Re: [Pics Inside] Now it works!

I've found it out even better cutting the string off little further of the ball end. I don't know how to explaing, but most strings tear in the end where the bead is wrapped with a single string wire and this wire returns. I cut off even that part (you'll see it little fatter than regular string surface), so there's no chance for string to loosen just because the cut string piece fall out.

I cut the ball ends off after the main set of beginning windings... It's lazy not to cut off ball ends

                          Plus it looks kinda cheap.

Nice guitar... musta cost a grand or so! Now go to home depot and spend $6 to get some snips!
