I don't think there was any difference in quality between the MF models or regular production models. There were even some Marty and Dave signature models that had black Floyds instead of gold, and I don't think they were a part of the MF run, from what I remember.

Wasn't the finish different? i thought the MF series had a black finish with a gold flake in it or something wierd like that. Can't remember the actual name of the color...

Maybe I'm wrong. I just seem to remember the MF catalogs saying something about the "limited color".
