Firebird

I found a Firebird in a local shop and have a few questions:
1. Serial number is J2069, black, FR & single hum. Is this a custom or did Jackson do any Firebird production runs?
2. The Firebird has an EMG, did Jackson offer this in 1986? (questioning the year also).
3. It appears to be a neck thru but could it be a set neck?
Thanks in advance and fyi, I am not one of those guys that come to a forum and get info/price and then leave. I have played for 20 years and took 3 years off...now I am back and heavily into Jacksons.

The only production firebirds that I know of are the FB-2 and FB-2T. Both were H-H guitars and made in Japan..

Sounds like a custom shop Firebird, roughly 1986. Also sounds like a great score!

Even if Jackson didn't offer an option (Pickups, bridge)you could supply your own and they would install it at the factory.

Thanks for the replies,the guitar seemed too good to be true so I walked. Guess I will be there first thing tomorrow!
BTW, is this a set neck or neck through?
