I have a 22 fret, 2 hum, USA soloist. It has a rosewood board and dots instead of fins.
Oh, by the way, first post. I thought it would be cool to reply to Archtop, since he gave me some good info on archtops the other day.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, but does it have the shorter 24.75" scale like a Gibson or the longer 25.5" scale like a Fender? 22-fret Soloists were fairly common back in the day, just not with a shorter scale.

Woops, its 25.5, what a great first post. I'll try harder the next time.

Needs a neck pickup and ebony sharks or no inlay. Black binding would be freaking sweet. A matching headstock + black logo would be cool, too.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I agree! I would buy it in a heartbeat! Maybe body binding?

Try this on for size. What do you all think about the single black sharky?

                  Re: Short scale Soloist??

I don't know why I am suddenly obsessed with a 22/24 Soloist lately, but I have pretty much
decided to order one, hence the big sell off. I am surprised to see such interest in one from
the previous replies and I hope Jackson is taking note of this. If they could just make the
SLATQH with the 24.75" scale, I would be in heaven.

The funny thing is that I already own a 22/24 Soloist, but it's an Archtop , which technically is
a Soloist. I just wanted to see one with the regular body shape and headstock (mine's reverse).

So Custom Shop it is then.

Irwin, good to see you posting. Don't be a stranger.

Whatever they do don't make it a one-hum guitar...that is completely worthless IMO. I need something other than one EMG 81 in the bridge....preferably a set of Dimarzios or something.

Agree! needs two humbuckers. EMG's, Seymours, or Dimarzio.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Some people want the traditional Soloist look. I'd love an SLS, but I'd really like to see the features in an SL2H package.

Are you talking about the 3x3 headstock? It seems like that that's their standard 24.75" neck as you see it on their KV2T as well.

Or are you talking about the thinner body?

                              What's the deal killer?
