This wasn't supposed to be done until next year, but it looks like it may be done this fall. Pablo Santana and Mike Shannon are building it together. I can't wait to see it completed!

Was is the control cavity marked on the top?

I think that is to help placing knobs/switch in the right place.

Thanks guys. I can't wait for it to be finished. The finish will be the golden rotbeer like on on the early PC-1's. I sent them this pic from Brooks site as reference for the finish.



The quilted top will outlined with natural binding as well.

The single Sharkie was something that I saw on a Custom Soloist back in the late 80's. Ever since I saw it, I wanted a soloist with a single sharkie at the 12th.

It will have a three piece flamed maple neck with mahogany wings. The neck will be gunstock oiled. The headstock wil have a quilt verneer and an abalone jackson logo. THe pickups are going to be zebra Dimarzio's (super 3 and Humbucker from hell).

This is coming in alot sooner that I thought. Hats off to Scott Vanderwall for going above and beyond with this order.

I agree, the 'in-progress' photos are a really good idea - I check everyday to see if I can see mine in there anyplace!
