Re: How long for a custom quote?

List your specs here, on this thread. I can get you in the ballpark. Listen to VWall, you shouldn't have to force DC to take your money! Take it someplace else, to somebody who actually gives a sh!t. All of the dealers he listed are credible, and will treat you right. I emailed Jason at DC about a Kamikazee, looking for a deal, because he has had it in stock literally forever. He told me (lied to me) that he sells 4-5 Kamis a week, and didn't have to make any deals! What a bunch of: !!! His site clearly states 'only one left, better hurry' etc.

Re: How long for a custom quote?

Many dealers require a 50% deposit on custom shop orders. That may be your problem. Or at least part of it.

I tried for 3 months to get a quote for a Custom
Shop Charvel with a bengal graphic. I finally decided screw it and bought a ESP M1 Lynch Tiger. It plays fantastic, sounds great and looks very cool. I actually think, I prefer the neck shape better then my Charvel pointy. Oh and the wait time was only 3 weeks.

Re: How long for a custom quote?

VWall, where is your store located? I don't want to have any problems if it's out of the country or something. I'm giving Jason until the 23rd, which is exactly a month, I'll call him at that point and if I don't get anywhere I'll think about another dealer. I got your emails, I do appreciate you getting the quote for me, and that was extremely fast, I'm considering it right now, just give me a couple days.

One other question, I know DCGL has done customs for many people, and I know one of them which is why I have gone with them so far. Have you guys ordered many custom Jacksons for random people like me, or do you mostly just sell USA standard models?

Anyway, let me know, and I'll probably give you a call monday or something (I think that's my next day off). Given that they've had a month, I don't have a whole lot of confidence in Jason getting this order going in one day when I call him on it.

It seems like the "busy for NAMM" is heard more months out of a year than is actually the case! I hate hearing excuses (whether its true or not) with 2 NAMM shows a year its always thrown out there "working on NAMM". As a busniess person if you are managing your business more so to take care of a couple of trade shows only and not the dealers and ultimately the customers, you are not doing a too good of a job.

Re: How long for a custom quote?

"Jason, just emailing to let you know I don't need the quote for the seven string King V anymore. I emailed you asking for a quote over a month ago, Scott from V Wall Guitars got me my quote in an hour. Thanks anyway, and I do appreciate you getting me the RR1, but I'm gonna go with V Wall on the custom given the awesome service and attention."

So in a week or two, when I get the necessary 50% down, I'll be placing my order with V Wall. There you have it, JCF Online unites yet another buyer with a willing dealer. Thanks guys.

It'd be interesting to see Jason's reaction.

In my case, it took about less than 12 hours.
