• RR-1T w/ no serial #

A couple month ago I bought an '02 Jackson RR-1T and it has no serial number on the fingerboard. Has anyone ever heard of this before? The dealer said the guitar was one of only 60 made in this color ( Silver with black bevels ). He got it directly from Jackson and it had been on his wall till I bought it.

    Several options, including...

    - Jackson screwed up and didn't stamp a serial #.

    - The dealer is lying. The guitar was used and stolen, and the thief sanded off the serial # to make it untraceable.

    - You bought from Ed Roman, and it's a fake.

it's actually a common issue at this time; many guitars are being shipped with no serial #s.

Why would they ship them with no serial numbers?

Screw that! How can you insure it? How can you trace it if it gets stolen?

If someone sent me a guitar with no serial #, it would be sent right back.

Does anyone here have their guitars insured?

Yes, I do actually. I started doing it a few years ago when I had mostly pre-CBS Fenders. I am thinking about looking into some other insurance options. You never know when they can get ripped off or burn up. It is a rider on my home insurance policy and is not that bad if I remember correctly.

Thanks for that one. And now, why is the night sky black?
