It wouldn't take a whole lot to rehab a guitar like that. Its far from a door stop.

My SD Rhoads has similar chips, although not that bad.

that´s just fine (for me at least)
it gives her a certain kind of carisma
i rather play a well played/used old guitar with a nice character than one shiny untouched one off the rack

            meh, I'd still hit it.

I guess you haven't seen a Rhoads with a wing snapped off yet...

Easy cracking on my piece 'o shit Firebird. Sul-LEE (intentional misspelling) has assured me that it will be minty fresh any day now.

Matt Crooks' SD Rhoads is in much worse shape than that - his looks like it's been dragged behind a truck - yet it's an awesome guitar.

Of course, I'm responsible for a fair amount of that damage - our stage show is rather, ahem, active. You should see my main stage guitar - a Zion Turbo - from the same time period. It's even worse.

If it's a player, and it still sounds and plays good, who cares? People didn't buy these originally to collect them...

That guitar definitely has a cool vibe to it.

It's a 20-year-old guitar with some dings on the points - it's bound to happen.

Mine has the points chewed a little, it is a right of passage for these guitars (especially if played in cheesy placed in the 80s when you are a teenage )

Like the other responders, it doesn't look terribly trashed to me, either. I'm rather surprised by how nice the headstock and its face seem to be. From the title of this thread, I thought it would be heavily scratched up and chipped.

Your guitar looks to be an excellent candidate for a little extra TLC to get it back into really good shape.

A little TLC goes a long way!

Rebuilt the tips, leveled the surface and refinished to a nice light-medium blue metallic with black bevels. Too bad I sold it (I hope you dig it Tim).
