• Jackson AT-1 (please excuse any ignorance I might have)

hey Guys,

Ive been thinking alot lately about the older Jackson AT-1 model. I know that it is like an arched top soloist, but is the wood chambered out at all on the inside--I mean is it semi hollow? Ive heard conflicting reports on this and I am not exactly sure what the specs are on this guitar. Anybody got any information for me?

Also does anyone know if they AT-1s are usa or not?

I don't believe they're chambered. Yes, they're USA made bolt-ons, with some awesome necks.

They aren't chambered, the one I had was heavy as a friggin' Les Paul. Medium to small frets, thickest ebony fingerboard I've seen. A pretty cool guitar if you're into that headstock shape. Keep a really good eye out and you can find a 4+2 headstock, most were 3+3s.

The only way they could have been chambored is if they were filled with lead! Heavy isn't the word for it. Great guitar though!

this is a bummer, dudes. I was hoping they could spread some of that semi-hollow love...Maybe I could get some luthier to do that for me, but that seems like it could be an expensive process.

i had an at1 with the 4x2 headstock.
the neck was like a prs wide fat profile.
it was pretty heavy, but had great tone.
if you are looking for an at1 shape guitar thats semi hollow, schector has one that i saw at guitar center.
they go for $599.

I actually just got the USA version of that guitar, the soloist super lite.
