Oh wow....whats the version of the Soloist like budmans, but with humbuckers instead? Just the SLATQH? The slatqh's ive seen dont have that abalone on the knobs or jackson logo. Is that just an option?
courious about how that neck feels? Is it smooth like a maple or can you feel the open grain of the mahagany?
I just ordered a CS and was unsure about the unfinished neck (other than maple) so I elected to have it finished. They where concerned @ the neck having to much texture.
Thanks a lot to all of you, I'm very glad I picked this one up, it's just friggin beautiful and it plays so "slickly" .
oysterflight: If you pick up an unfinished maple neck and then pick this one up right afterwards, you can feel a VERY VERY minute difference but honestly that would be being very picky. The guitar plays so amazingly that it's completely un-noticable.
Wow Bud, she's gorgeous. I love those abalone knobs, those are such a cool touch. I still hate the piranha inlays though (don't ask me why). If it had abalone sharkfins it would be the perfect guitar. Any idea if thats a 3/4 top or a 1/8? From the natural binding it looks like a 3/4.
man, I'd love to take that for a tour of a few of the guitar shops around here - they wouldn't know what the fuck to make of it
awesome, Dave. And you're only a month late for my birthday. I'll pm you my mailing address
