• Say Happy B-Day to my Baby (Pic)

Hey all, this is my baby. Not too fancy, but I have had her since '87 and by the serial number chart, I figure that she is about 20 years old by now:

We have been through alot and she has not let me down (now she is mostly retired -but every now and again, she gets a good run).

Yep, student model that I traded a black Charvel Model 6 for.

Finish is a dark metallic grey. Edges and points have the usual dings.

However, not bad for a 20 year old guitar!

                Happy B-day!

I'm looking forward to when I can say I've had my Soloist (April '86) for 20 yrs. Only a couple away.

RR05, yup, I have RR0687, also an '84 Student, and I've also had her since '87, also semi-retired. But yours looks nicer!

Next year, you can finally and legally take your baby out for a drink! But I'm guessing it might be likely that she's already seen a drinking establishment or two already.

Can one narrow down the build date of neck-throughs?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yep. But only if you were lucky enough to get a serial # search done by Jackson, back when they would still do 'em. Or if you're the original owner. (Like me on both counts. )

I had heard something about a fire or other disaster which kinda sorta destroyed some of the early records anyway.

Anyone know if this is true?
