seems that mahogany neck is not as strong as regular maple neck [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] ...also reminds me some neck cracks in les pauls

I agree - that's the wrong case, and unless you removed a bunch of packing material used to keep the guitar stable in that case, I actually wouldn't blame the shipping service.

I have one the same color...I love it. The Trans Black ones do not have the body binding which is actually just a clear finish over a strip of the maple top but it looks killer. That is the same case I have as well, the case is fine, I don't think it can be blamed on that, but then again it does seem coincidental.I'm getting Huntin Dougs replacement whenever it is finished and now I'm nervous.

Fritz, I feel your pain. I hate the G&G style cases for shipping. The guitars seem to fare a bit better in SKB cases during shipping. Good luck getting this resolved. I know it sucks, and I hope it all works out for you.

I can't believe how many guitar I've received with no packing material supporting the headstock. If you put bubble wrap anywhere, put it under the headstock (if there is room). Especially on thinner neck guitars. UPS will say it wasn't packed properly, which I kind of agree with.

I don't know this guy or how reputable he is, but there it is. How are you going to get compensated for it? I just ordered an SLATQH through Vwall and he said I was getting the last one that Jackson had in stock (transparent black). I can't imagine how shitty it must feel. Good luck bro!

Thats the same case that my SL2h came with back in Nov 2003. Mine arrived safely, but I dont feel it fits the guitar that well. I feel really bad for you.
