Very cool!! I love non-recessed Floyds, but don't care that much for one hum guitars any more.

I think it's very cool. I would buy it if I didn't have one being delivered this week.

I doubt the route was filled. The Schaller trem makes me wonder if it has one of those early small recesses underneath. It also has a wide pickup ring. When did those stop?

Good point Jim. Whomever wants to snag it should ask these questions before pulling the trigger.

                          Re: Single hum RR-1-SWEET!

I bought a Wolfgang Special USA flametop from this music-go-round a few weeks ago, and the guys there are 1st class. Call them, ask for either Lawrence or Ben 505-875-0100. (ManyAxes: they switched around the guy that does emails on the internet stuff as one guy left, so they apologize for you not getting a response on your email).

Here's what I found in talking to Lawrence just now:
Serial number is RR1976 (puts it at 1987 Ontario).

The floyd just sayd "Floyd Rose", no other words, does not say Schaller anywhere, so we're thinking its an "OFR". NON-recessed trem route (they will put up pics of the floyd and the trem route tonight on the site, you'll see them tomorrow).

Solid Black in color, no evidence of any 'neck hum' recess filling. (I told him about some of the speculation in this thread. He can't see anything that looks like it was filled/painted, looks very original to him).

One chip on the upper wing (you can see it in the enlarged pic), another small chip on back. Otherwise very clean.

A little fret wear between 3rd and 12th, but still very playable, no need for re-fret.

                          22 frets
says Made in USA on headstock, has truss rod cover and floyd nuts/blocks intact.

                          Comes with Hard Case
They are pretty firm on the $999 price as it hasn't been in the store long.

So if anyone is interested, call them and they'll be happy to answer any other questions!

That is weird! Last night when I looked at the pic of the full guitar it appeared to have writing above the trem arm socket. It must have just been glare.

I live in Albuquerque. I can go take a look at it if it is still there.
