  • Paging McD, mistake on Jackson's Website

    Hey McD,

I was searching the custom shop archives and found this guitar as a custom shop model... There's no way a concept series axe is from the custom shop right?

Just letting you know, so somebody can fix it.

    Keep on rockin',

It's not a Custom Shop. I think that one is called a JTX and it only sells in overseas markets like Australia. It's just another take on a Dinky, with an extra pickup. I think it has a carved top too, but I'm not sure.

It´s actually called an ATX (A for archtop), and was made in Japan in the late nineties for Europe and Australia. Some have the Concept-logo, and some don´t.

VitaminG posted tons of pics when those first hit his local shop in Australia.
Anyhoo, the JTX was a Telecaster-style.

And the original question/issue should be addressed to the caretaker of Jackson's website.
