Bleah... I hate potholes in the road of getting a custom guitar... We're having inlay issues right now, so it looks like I'm going with Abalone sharkfins rather than Mother of Pearl. We're trying to figure out what to do about the XIII inlay as well, 'cause that's not going real well at the moment. I'll keep everyone posted.

Huh... just found out that Jackson's custom options aren't unlimited. Aparently they won't do side dot LED's in the neck.

Yeah, green MOP does not exist.
I called every supplier I could find for Mr.Andy and they were all like- wha..what do you mean etc..

of course Jackson told me the same thing but I had to go search for meself ;-)
All the green of this color like found on the Ibanez jems and acoustic Vai model and others are all synthetic..
It would be serious coolness if real green MOP existed...

What's this I hear about GREEN ABALONE? Stew-Mac has it, I believe. It's been a while since I looked at my Stew-Mac catalog but I do remember red abalone and green abalone.

I'm pretty sure the green abalone in the Stew-Mac catalog is the standard abalone we're used to seeing. The red abalone is actually red-tinted, but the green just has the greenish tint in the iridescent grain pattern... I think [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]...

Yeah, I looked at green abalone, and it's not actually green. I'm perfectly happy with the synthetic though, it's gonna be a badass guitar. Don't have an ETA yet though, I'll start bugging them about that after they're a decent ammount into building it.
